This medication is used to alleviate the major symptoms of a cold, including cough, sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 12 years - 30 milliliters (15ml cup) × 2 every 6 hours

Child dose

Children under 12 years - consult with a doctor or pharmacist before use

Precautions

This medication should not be used by those who are taking or have recently stopped (within 2 weeks) medication from the Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) class. MAOI medications are used for the treatment of depression, psychosis, emotional regulation issues, and Parkinson's disease, and taking this medication together with them may be dangerous. One should also be careful when engaging in activities requiring attention, such as driving or operating machinery. If a cough persists for more than 7 days, or if recurring fever, rash, headache, or other symptoms continue, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.
