This medication helps alleviate various symptoms caused by colds. It is effective for nasal symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing, as well as respiratory symptoms including sore throat, cough, and phlegm. It also reduces systemic symptoms associated with colds such as chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle ache, supporting a comfortable recovery. It aids patients in returning to their daily activities more quickly. Therefore, it is used for relieving cold symptoms.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Adults (ages 15 and over): 2 capsules per dose, take 3 times a day after meals, 30 minutes later

Children's dosage

Children (ages 8 to under 15): 1 capsule per dose, take 3 times a day after meals, 30 minutes later

Precautions

This medication may impose a burden on the liver, so those who regularly drink more than three glasses of alcohol per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication or any other antipyretic analgesics. The acetaminophen contained in this medication may rarely cause severe skin disorders, so if skin rashes or allergic symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000mg and should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. The pseudoephedrine component in this medication may rarely cause severe skin reactions, so if fever, skin rashes, or small blisters occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. This medication should not be taken by those with specific allergies or drug hypersensitivity, those with lactase enzyme deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption, infants under 3 months of age, and those currently taking or who have recently stopped taking MAO inhibitors. During use, it is safe to avoid using cough medicines, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines that may be included in other medications. Children who have had chickenpox or suspected influenza, those with a history of allergic reactions to medications, individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, hypertension, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with specific cough symptoms should consult a professional before using this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as rashes, itching, nausea, swelling, dizziness, or insomnia occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If acute allergic reactions or severe skin disorders, or symptoms of liver dysfunction occur, seek medical attention promptly. This medication must be taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage and frequency and should not be used over an extended period. When administering to children, supervision by a guardian is necessary, and alcohol should be avoided during use since drowsiness may occur; driving or operating machinery should be refrained from. Be cautious as the metabolism of acetaminophen may slow if this medication is taken with specific antidepressants or alcohol.
