Improvement of epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous diseases)
This medication is used for epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane pemphigoid, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva occurring after surgery, medication use, trauma, or contact lens wear.
Instill 1 drop of the 0.1% or 0.3% formulation 5-6 times daily. Adjust dosage based on symptoms. Typically, the 0.1% formulation is administered, and if it is insufficient for severe conditions, the 0.3% formulation may be administered.
This medication should not be used by patients with allergies to protein-based medication or any of the components of this drug. Symptoms such as itching, irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, corneal disorders, foreign body sensation, discharge, and pain may occur, and if any of these symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Additionally, there is a rare possibility of hypersensitivity reactions such as blepharitis or dermatitis; caution is needed. If using with other eye drops, do not administer them simultaneously; use the other medication first and then this one about 30 minutes later. This medication is for ophthalmic use only; care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from touching the eyelid or eyelashes. For single-use products, the first 1-2 drops should be discarded, and any remaining solution should be discarded immediately after opening. Avoid co-use due to the risk of contamination. Particularly for multi-use products, benzalkonium chloride is included as a preservative, so do not use while wearing soft contact lenses, and wait at least 15 minutes after use before putting in the lenses. Store out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep in a cool place. To maintain quality, do not transfer this medication to another container.
