Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
This medication is used to relieve acute and chronic pain ranging from moderate to severe.
Children over 12 years and adults: The dosage is adjusted according to the patient's level of pain and therapeutic response. The initial recommended dose is 2 tablets, and the subsequent dosing interval should be at least 6 hours. Do not exceed 8 tablets per day, and administer the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Avoid prolonged use beyond what is necessary, and if prolonged use is needed, regular monitoring should be conducted.
This medication may cause liver damage if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks each day; therefore, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Rarely, this medication can cause serious skin reactions; if you experience a rash or hypersensitivity reaction, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. The ingredients in this medication may increase the risk of seizures, so caution is advised for those with a history of seizures or those taking medications that could induce seizures. Rarely, serious allergic reactions may occur while taking this medication, so if you experience difficulty breathing, hives, or facial swelling, inform a healthcare professional immediately. Patients with acute and severe asthma may experience difficulty breathing while taking this medication, so it should be administered in an environment equipped with specialized medical equipment. Taking this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants can intensify sedation and respiratory depression; extreme caution is warranted when co-administering these substances. Patients with increased intracranial pressure or head injuries may experience worsened symptoms from taking this medication and should use caution. This medication can lead to physical and psychological dependence, so the dosage and duration must be strictly managed under a physician's guidance during prolonged use. Patients with impaired liver function should consult with a doctor before taking this medication due to the risk of liver damage from the acetaminophen component. Those with a genetic predisposition to rapid metabolism of this medication should exercise caution as the risk of severe side effects, such as respiratory depression, is elevated. This medication should not be used in children under 12 years of age or adolescents under 18 years who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. This medication can cause sleep apnea and hypoxia, so continuous monitoring for these symptoms or worsening conditions is essential. Elderly patients or those at risk for hyponatremia require monitoring for symptoms of hyponatremia while taking this medication. Patients who are allergic to its components, those with central nervous system drug intoxication, severe respiratory depression, head trauma, or who are taking MAO inhibitors should not take this medication. Taking this medication with other central nervous system depressants can further intensify respiratory depression and sedation; therefore, the lowest effective dose should be used, and the patient's condition must be closely monitored. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult with a doctor before taking this medication and carefully observe the baby for signs of sedation or respiratory depression while breastfeeding. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, necessitating caution while driving or operating machinery. In the case of overdose, serious side effects such as respiratory depression, seizures, and liver damage can occur; therefore, strict adherence to dosing guidelines is essential, and immediate medical attention is required in case of overdose. This medication has numerous drug interactions, so if taken with other medications, consult a doctor or pharmacist for safe use.
Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, diminished urine output.
