Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause a severe skin reaction known as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If you experience skin rash, fever, or small blisters during treatment, you should stop taking the medication immediately and consult with your doctor. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain conditions or who are taking certain medications. For example, it should not be used in patients who are allergic to this medication, have angle-closure glaucoma, severe hypertension, hyperthyroidism, severely impaired liver or kidney function, children under 12 years of age, pregnant or nursing women, or patients with genetic metabolic disorders like lactose intolerance. Additionally, patients with glaucoma, hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, benign prostatic hyperplasia, liver dysfunction or a history of liver disease, as well as patients at risk of QT interval prolongation should use this medication cautiously. Especially, elderly individuals aged 60 and over should be careful. Side effects such as drowsiness, nervousness, nausea, headache, and palpitations may occur while taking this medication, so caution is advised when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Due to the pseudoephedrine component, symptoms such as acute abdominal pain or rectal bleeding may indicate ischemic colitis, and if sudden severe headache or visual disturbances occur, you should stop taking the medication immediately. This medication may enhance the effects of other antihistamines, and interactions may increase the risk of side effects when combined with some antihypertensive drugs or sympathomimetics. In particular, co-administration with monoamine oxidase inhibitors can lead to a serious increase in blood pressure, so they should not be used together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medication after consulting with a doctor, as its safety is not guaranteed. If nursing, cessation of breastfeeding is recommended as this medication may be excreted in breast milk. In the case of overdose, rapid gastric lavage and symptomatic treatment should be provided, and vital signs including heart conditions should be closely monitored. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container may lead to quality deterioration or accidents, so caution is required.
