This medication improves ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by occlusive thromboangiitis (Buerger's disease). It also alleviates subjective symptoms such as leg pain and leg numbness due to acquired lumbar spinal stenosis and enhances the patient's walking ability. Therefore, it is effectively used for improving symptoms related to vascular issues and spinal stenosis.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This drug contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic diseases that affect lactose digestion. Use with caution in patients who are at risk of bleeding or taking medications that may cause bleeding. Allergic symptoms such as skin rash or itching may occur while using this drug, and if such symptoms appear, use should be discontinued immediately. Since bleeding can occur rarely, if bleeding symptoms are observed, administration should be discontinued immediately and medical assistance should be sought. Gastrointestinal effects can occur, leading to diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and heartburn. Liver function abnormalities may occur, so monitoring for elevated liver enzymes is required. Fast heart rate or low blood pressure may occur, so these symptoms should be monitored closely. Headaches, facial flushing, dizziness, heat sensation, fatigue, swelling, tremors, increased body hair, and anemia may occur. In patients with lumbar spinal stenosis, the decision to continue medication should be made with careful observation of changes in symptoms. The effectiveness of this drug in severe cases of lumbar spinal stenosis that require surgery is uncertain. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, and uterine contraction effects have been reported in animal studies, so it should be avoided in pregnant women or those who may become pregnant. Safety in children has not been confirmed, so it should not be used in children. Elderly patients may have reduced body function, so caution should be exercised in adjusting dosages. Caution is required as a high dose in healthy adults may temporarily lower blood pressure.
