Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have previously experienced shock due to this drug or have shown allergic reactions to its components or cephalosporin antibiotics. Patients with allergies to penicillin antibiotics should use caution when taking this medication, as should those with a family history of asthma or skin allergies. Patients with severely impaired renal function may have increased drug concentrations, thus dosages should be reduced and the intervals between doses extended. Patients who have difficulty swallowing or are in poor overall condition should be closely monitored. Use of this medication in the elderly should be done with special caution, and patients with a history of colitis should also be careful when using this drug. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, skin diseases, blood abnormalities, liver or kidney dysfunction, or pseudomembranous colitis. If any unusual symptoms appear, the use of the medication should be stopped immediately and medical consultation should be sought. To prevent the development of resistant bacteria during antibiotic use, it is important to confirm the susceptibility of the infecting organisms and use the drug only for the necessary duration. If hypersensitivity is suspected, administration should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment should be received. Due to antibiotic use, the normal balance of bacteria in the colon can be disrupted, possibly leading to pseudomembranous colitis; if severe abdominal pain or diarrhea occurs, medical personnel should be informed immediately. This drug may cause infections from bacteria resistant to other antibiotics; in such cases, appropriate treatment options should be selected. In patients with impaired renal function, seizures may occur, thus careful dosage adjustment and monitoring of patient status are required. Taking this medication alongside iron preparations, antacids, or warfarin may reduce the drug's effectiveness or increase the risk of side effects, so it's advisable to space doses apart. For pregnant women, the safety of this drug has not been established, hence it should only be administered when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. Caution is advised in using this drug for children and neonates, as its safety has not been sufficiently confirmed. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and convulsions may occur, and the drug can be removed via hemodialysis. This medication may affect the results of certain clinical tests, so it is important to inform healthcare providers about its use when undergoing tests. Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture, and maintain storage temperatures between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. Avoid direct sunlight, and be careful not to place it in overly hot or cold environments.
