Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

For adults and adolescents over 15 years: take 2 tablets orally three times a day after meals.

Children's dosage

For children aged 12 to under 15 years: take 1 tablet orally three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should be avoided in patients under 18 years old with obesity or obstructive sleep apnea, as well as in patients with severe pulmonary disease, as it may cause severe respiratory depression. People who are allergic to this drug or its components, or have had hypersensitivity reactions to it, should not take it. Additionally, those taking MAO inhibitors such as antidepressants or antipsychotics, those who have recently stopped taking them within the past 2 weeks, breastfeeding women, patients with glaucoma, those with lower urinary tract obstructive conditions like prostate enlargement, and children under 12 years old should not take this medication. Those with a predisposition to allergic reactions, previous allergy symptoms from medications, liver or kidney disease, thyroid disease, diabetes, or those who are frail or have a high fever, patients with cardiovascular disease, pregnant women or those who might become pregnant, individuals with increased intraocular pressure or urinary disorders, those with specific types of cough, those with gastric ulcers or epilepsy, should consult a doctor before using this medication. This medication can cause various side effects such as shock, rash, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, difficulty urinating, hypotension, and respiratory issues. Patients should seek immediate consultation with medical personnel if symptoms occur. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. Excessive use or prolonged usage should be avoided. Taking this medication together with other cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives can exacerbate side effects. Caution should be taken as drowsiness may increase when consumed with alcohol or central nervous system depressants. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should refrain from taking this medication as it can be transmitted through breast milk and affect the baby.
