Precautions

This medication helps to regulate the body's fluid balance. When taking this medicine, fluid intake should be restricted to the point of feeling thirsty. Excessive fluid intake may lower sodium levels in the body and cause serious side effects such as coma. This medication should not be used in patients with a history of allergic reactions, certain kidney diseases, heart failure, or those taking diuretics. Individuals with hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, or kidney diseases should use it with caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, children, and the elderly should also use this medication carefully, especially in the presence of conditions that could cause fluid and electrolyte imbalances. During use, side effects such as headache, dizziness, nausea, weight gain, and skin allergic reactions may occur, and if any unusual symptoms arise, immediate consultation with a healthcare provider is advised. Additionally, this medication may interact with other drugs, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers, especially when taking antidepressants, diuretics, corticosteroids, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Caution is necessary during pregnancy as it may induce uterine contractions, and it is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding during this time due to the potential excretion of the drug into breast milk. In case of overdose, serious symptoms such as headaches, nausea, seizures, or loss of consciousness may occur, requiring immediate medical attention for proper treatment. Using this medication does not significantly affect driving or machine operation, but caution may still be needed depending on individual physical condition.
