View approved original text

This medication is used to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone or in combination with diet and exercise as an adjunctive therapy. If the improvement in blood sugar is insufficient, it may be used in conjunction with other hypoglycemic agents such as sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin. Additionally, nutritional counseling, weight loss, and regular exercise should be conducted, which are essential not only for initial treatment but also for maintaining the long-term efficacy of drug therapy. This medication is used to enhance blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
