View approved original text

This medication is used to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone or in combination with other hypoglycemic agents to enhance glycemic control, in conjunction with dietary and exercise therapy. Particularly, if there is no improvement in blood sugar despite the use of other oral hypoglycemic agents, it can be administered in combination with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin. Additionally, nutritional counseling, weight loss, and exercise therapy are important not only for initial treatment but also for maintaining the effectiveness of drug therapy. This medication effectively improves blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
