View approved original text

This medication is used to assist in blood sugar control for patients with Type 2 Diabetes. It can be administered alone or, if sufficient effect is not achieved with other oral hypoglycemic agents, in combination with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin. Additionally, it is important for patients to engage in nutritional counseling, weight loss, and regular exercise therapy. These efforts greatly help maintain the effectiveness of the medication therapy, as well as initial treatment. Therefore, this medication effectively supports blood sugar improvement in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.
