This medication is used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers and is helpful in alleviating symptoms of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease, as well as for long-term maintenance therapy. It also shows effectiveness as combination therapy with antibiotics for patients with gastrointestinal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection and is used for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Overall, it is an effective medication for treating various gastrointestinal-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

For gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers: Typically, adults take 10 mg of Rabeprazole Sodium orally once daily. Depending on symptoms, 20 mg may be taken orally once daily. Treatment lasts up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Take 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks. Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to certain components or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. This medication may reduce gastric acid secretion, which can lead to increased bacterial growth in the gastrointestinal tract, so if diarrhea persists, consult a healthcare professional. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery as drowsiness may occur. Do not chew or crush this medication; swallow the tablet whole. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to another container.
