Precautions

This medication may cause liver damage in individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks daily; hence, consulting with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. The acetaminophen component in this medication can occasionally cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, or toxic epidermal necrolysis, so if you experience skin rash or hypersensitivity reactions after taking it, you should discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000mg, and it should not be taken in conjunction with other medications containing acetaminophen to prevent liver damage. Individuals with an allergy to this medication or who have previously shown hypersensitivity to it or its components, those with a history of asthma, infants under three months old, and individuals currently taking or who have recently discontinued MAO inhibitors, such as certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, should not use this medication. It is also safer not to take cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, tranquilizers, or antihistamines while on this medication. People who are hypersensitive or have a history of allergy to caramel should use this medication with caution. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, those with allergic tendencies, those who have previously experienced allergic symptoms from medications, individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those receiving treatment for specific conditions should consult with professionals before taking this medication. If atypical symptoms such as rashes, itching, vomiting, dizziness, anxiety, trembling, or insomnia arise during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist, particularly if severe symptoms like hives, difficulty breathing, or severe skin rashes occur; immediate medical attention is necessary. Children under two years old should not take this medication unless absolutely necessary and under a doctor's supervision. Adhere strictly to the dosage and administration guidelines, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol consumption while on this medication. Drowsiness may occur, thus it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. Be cautious as certain medications may reduce the elimination capacity of acetaminophen. This medication contains saccharin, which can be harmful to health. Additionally, co-administration with certain antibiotics may rarely lead to metabolic acidosis, so in such cases, stop use and consult a doctor.
