Precautions

This medication should be used with great caution in patients with edema or ascites due to liver cirrhosis, as rapid fluctuations in fluid and electrolyte levels can lead to hepatic encephalopathy. This medication should not be used in children under the age of 12, patients with hypotension, patients with severe renal failure, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with certain allergic reactions. During treatment with this medication, electrolyte levels such as potassium and sodium should be regularly monitored, and using it in combination with potassium-sparing diuretics can help prevent hypokalemia. This medication has the effect of lowering blood pressure, so caution should be taken when using it with other antihypertensive medications as there is a risk of overly low blood pressure. This medication can cause side effects such as dehydration, hypotension, dizziness, muscle weakness, and cardiac arrhythmias, so if these symptoms appear, medical consultation should be sought immediately. During treatment with this medication, adequate potassium intake is important, and dietary adjustments should be made to prevent potassium deficiency. Caution is needed when performing tasks that require concentration, such as driving or operating machinery, especially at the beginning of treatment or when changing dosages. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take this medication, as it may have side effects on the fetus or newborn. Elderly patients should be especially cautious of dizziness and fainting due to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances when taking this medication, and should start with a small dose while monitoring their condition. In case of overdose, electrolyte imbalances and severe hypotension may occur, and immediate medical treatment should be sought. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided to prevent degradation of quality or accidents.
