This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of the common cold, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults, take 1 capsule three times a day, 30 minutes after meals.

Precautions

This medicine may burden the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Rarely, serious skin reactions may occur; if a rash or allergic symptoms develop, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. This medication contains pseudoephedrine, and if symptoms such as fever, erythema, or small blisters occur, stop taking it and consult a doctor or pharmacist. As it contains acetaminophen, care should be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dosage, and it should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. Persons with allergies to this medication or its components, those who have experienced asthma, infants under three months, or those with severe conditions such as specific antidepressants or serious hypertension or kidney disease should not take it. It is safer not to take cough medicines, other cold medicines, analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines together while on this medication. Especially, children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and individuals with specific diseases should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or jaundice occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Children under 2 years old should not take this medication except in special cases, and should follow a doctor's instructions. Follow the prescribed dosage and administration, avoid long-term use, and refrain from alcohol while taking this medication. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication simultaneously with a specific antibiotic, flucloxacillin, can rarely cause serious metabolic disturbances, so caution is necessary if taken together.

Serious side effects

  • Hives, severe swelling, tightness in the chest, cold sweat, paleness → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eyes mucosa → severe skin abnormal reactions
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy → liver abnormalities (jaundice)
  • Sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, etc.

Mild side effects

Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, High Anion Gap Metabolic Acidosis (HAGMA), rash, redness, itching

Drug interactions

Do not take with oral medications containing cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Do not take this medication if currently on monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within two weeks of stopping them. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if taken with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, or steroids.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
