Replacement therapy: This medication can replace each dose-adjusted losartan potassium and hydrochlorothiazide combination therapy.
Children's dosage
Since there is no experience with use in children and adolescents (under 18 years old), this medication should not be administered to children and adolescents.

This medication is used for patients with hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

The usual adult dose is one tablet containing Losartan Potassium 50 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once daily. Doses exceeding Losartan Potassium 100 mg/Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg daily are not preferred. Generally, the maximum antihypertensive effect appears about 3 weeks after starting treatment. 1. Precautions

Craniosynostosis, anuria, hypotension, renal failure, severe allergic reactions (hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness), angioedema (swelling of lips and eyelids and facial rash, laryngeal/pharyngeal edema that may lead to airway obstruction), severe dermatologic reactions (severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain), vasculitis, anaphylaxis reaction.
