Patients with end-stage kidney disease or those receiving dialysis should not receive this medication. This medication should not be used in infants under 1 year of age, and children under 6 years of age should be administered in liquid form rather than tablets. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should avoid it. Patients with reduced kidney or liver function, as well as the elderly, should use this medication cautiously since it may remain in the body for an extended period. Drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and fatigue may occur, so caution is required when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may also occur, and severe symptoms should be discussed with a physician. Rarely, symptoms such as irregular or rapid heartbeats may occur; therefore, caution is necessary. If symptoms such as skin rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing occur due to an allergic reaction, immediate medical attention should be sought. It is recommended to temporarily discontinue this medication before allergy testing to obtain accurate results. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness or agitation may appear, and as there is no specific antidote, symptomatic treatment should be pursued.
