Treatment of overactive bladder (urgency, frequent urination, etc.)
Overactive bladder may be accompanied by symptoms such as urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence. This condition occurs when the bladder contracts excessively, leading to a frequent urge to urinate. This medicine alleviates these symptoms, reducing the discomfort patients experience in their daily lives. It particularly helps control sudden urges and frequent urination urges. Treatment results in improved bladder function, allowing for a more comfortable life. Therefore, it is used for treating symptoms of overactive bladder.
Adults: Administer 4 mg orally once daily as tolterodine L-tartrate. Patients with renal impairment, hepatic impairment, or receiving ketoconazole or another potent CYP3A4 inhibitor: Administer 2 mg once daily as this drug. If adverse reactions occur, the dose may be reduced from 4 mg to 2 mg once daily. This drug may be taken with or without food. Swallow the dosage form whole; do not crush or split it.
