This medication is used to treat various infections caused by several types of bacteria. It is effective for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also used for urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, as well as sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea and pelvic infections. It helps treat skin and soft tissue infections such as abscesses, wound infections and osteomyelitis. It improves bacterial infections in various areas including dental infections.

How to take

Adult dose

For severe infections and respiratory infections in adults, take 1 tablet orally twice daily at 12-hour intervals.

Precautions

This medicine should not be given to patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics such as penicillins or cephalosporins. Caution is required for patients with viral diseases such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, as the risk of rash may increase. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice should avoid using this medication, as it may exacerbate symptoms. Patients with decreased liver function or severe kidney disease may have increased drug concentrations, necessitating adjustments to dosing intervals. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with allergies or symptoms such as asthma or urticaria.
