Treatment should always be initiated by a physician experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's dementia, and only if the caregiver is able to periodically confirm the patient's medication adherence. This medication can be taken with or without food. Dose escalation: The maximum daily dose is 20 mg, and to minimize the risk of adverse reactions, the dose should be increased by 5 mg per week over the first 3 weeks. First week (days 1 to 7): Administer 5 mg once daily for 7 days. Second week (days 8 to 14): Administer 10 mg once daily (5 mg twice daily) for 7 days. Third week (days 15 to 21): Administer 15 mg once daily (10 mg in the morning, 5 mg in the evening) for 7 days. From the fourth week onward: Administer 20 mg once daily (10 mg twice daily). The recommended maintenance dose is 20 mg once daily (10 mg twice daily).

How to take

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to its components. Patients with severe liver or kidney damage should not take this medication, especially those with very low kidney function. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are taking other medications, be sure to inform your healthcare provider. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication only when the benefits outweigh the risks, as it may affect the fetus. Breastfeeding women should consider discontinuing breastfeeding while taking this medication, as it may be excreted in breast milk.
