Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to penicillin-type drugs. In particular, it should not be administered to those who have previously experienced anaphylaxis or severe skin reactions. Additionally, it should be used with caution in patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia due to the increased risk of rash. Patients with impaired liver function or those who have had liver dysfunction or jaundice due to this medication or penicillin in the past should also avoid its use. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related metabolic disorders should not take it. Patients with compromised liver or kidney function, those with allergic tendencies, elderly patients, and those with gastrointestinal symptoms should exercise extra caution when using this medication. Gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting may occur during treatment; if symptoms are severe, they should consult a physician immediately. Liver function abnormalities can also occur, albeit rarely, so regular liver function testing may be necessary during prolonged use. Rarely, severe allergic reactions or blood disorders, kidney issues, and neurological abnormalities may arise, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to healthcare personnel promptly. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should only take this medication after consulting a physician, especially it is advisable to avoid it in the first three months of pregnancy. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if there are any other medications being taken, it is essential to inform healthcare personnel. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, kidney issues, and neurological abnormalities may occur, necessitating an immediate visit to a medical institution for appropriate emergency treatment. When storing, it is recommended to keep it in a sealed container to prevent moisture. A suitable storage temperature is in a cool place between 1 degree and 25 degrees Celsius, preferably in a low-humidity and dry environment. This medication should be used strictly according to a doctor's prescription and instructions; caution should be exercised to avoid arbitrarily discontinuing or changing the dosage.
