This medicine is used to relieve various symptoms caused by colds, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Individuals aged 15 or older and adults: 2 capsules once, 3 times a day after meals at intervals of 30 minutes.

Child dose

Children (aged 8 to 14 years): 1 capsule once, 3 times a day after meals at intervals of 30 minutes.

Precautions

This medicine may cause liver damage if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily. Therefore, it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. The ingredients in this medicine can rarely cause severe skin reactions, so if a rash or allergy symptoms appear, stop taking it immediately. It contains acetaminophen, so exceeding the maximum daily dose can strain the liver; therefore, do not take it with other products containing acetaminophen. Due to the presence of pseudoephedrine, if symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small blisters appear, stop taking the medicine and consult a healthcare professional. This medicine should not be taken by individuals with specific allergies or a history of asthma, children under 3 months of age, users of certain antidepressants, patients with severe hypertension or kidney disease. During treatment, it is safe not to take cough medicine, other cold medicines, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines together. Children, especially those under 15 years of age or infants, must consult a doctor before taking this medicine, as there is a risk of severe diseases such as Reye's syndrome. If abnormal symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, insomnia, or severe allergic reactions, liver function abnormalities, or respiratory difficulty develop during treatment, stop taking the medicine immediately and consult medical personnel. Children under 2 years of age should not take this medicine except in special cases, and a guardian must supervise use. Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, dryness, dizziness, anxiety, tremor, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medicine with oral medications that contain cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Avoid taking while using MAO inhibitors or within 2 weeks of stopping them. Consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking together with diabetes medication, gout medication, arthritis medication, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
