Improvement of epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous)
This medication is used to treat epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous factors such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous factors such as postoperative conditions, drug reactions, trauma, and contact lens wear.
0.1%, 0.3% formulation: instill 1 drop at a time, 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust as needed based on symptoms. Generally, the 0.1% formulation is administered; if the effect is insufficient for severe conditions, the 0.3% formulation is administered.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to protein-based drugs or its components. Symptoms such as itching or irritation in the eyes, redness, conjunctivitis, or keratitis may occur; if these symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Some patients may experience eye discharge or eye pain, so caution is advised. When using this medication with other eye drops, they should be applied at least 30 minutes apart, and simultaneous use should be avoided. It should only be used for eye drops, and care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from coming into contact with the eyelids or eyelashes. Otherwise, the medication may become contaminated or clouded. This medication should not be used while wearing soft contact lenses, and lenses should be worn only after at least 15 minutes have passed since using the drops. For single-use products, use should occur within 12 hours of opening, and it should only be used once after opening. Keep out of reach of children, store away from direct sunlight, and keep in a cool place. Transferring the medication to another container may pose a risk of misuse and reduce quality, so it must be stored in its original container. In cases of severe corneal damage, caution is advised as calcareous deposits may occur on the cornea due to phosphate components, albeit rarely. Following these precautions is essential for the safe use of this medication.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, it is important to maintain a temperature range between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius when storing the medication.
