This medicine is used to relieve fever and pain caused by colds, headache, neuralgia, muscle pain, menstrual pain, and various other pains, such as pain from sprains. It is also effective for various types of pain, including toothache, joint pain, and rheumatic pain. It can help improve the various pain symptoms experienced by patients.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults are to take 0.3-1.0 g per dose of acetaminophen orally, 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 g. The dosage may be adjusted appropriately based on age, condition, and symptoms.

Child dose

Children are to take 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4-6 hours as needed, not to exceed 5 times per day (75 mg/kg). The dosage per administration depends on body weight or age as follows.

Precautions

This medication may place a burden on the liver; therefore, individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. If any abnormal reactions such as severe rash, blisters, or redness appear on the skin during the course of this medication, you must stop taking it immediately and consult medical staff. This medication contains acetaminophen, so care must be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dose of 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken together with other acetaminophen-containing products. Individuals with an allergic reaction to this medication or those with peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, severely impaired liver or kidney function, or weak heart function should not take this medication. Those who suffer from aspirin-induced asthma, are taking certain antidepressants or barbiturate medications, or frequently consume alcohol are also advised not to take this medication. Individuals with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic abnormalities should not take this medication. Patients with liver or kidney disease, peptic ulcers, blood disorders, heart function abnormalities, asthma, or a history of hypersensitivity must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. It is important for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, the elderly, and those on long-term warfarin therapy to consult a professional before taking this medication. If any abnormal symptoms such as difficulty breathing, skin rash, nausea, vomiting, bleeding, or severe fatigue occur during use, you must stop taking it immediately and consult medical staff. In case of long-term use of this medication, regular blood tests and liver function tests should be conducted; if any abnormalities are found, dosage adjustments or discontinuation may be necessary. Children or the elderly should take the minimum dosage and their condition should be carefully monitored after taking.
