Interactions may occur if used concurrently with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ACE inhibitors, diuretics, anticoagulants, lithium, methotrexate, etc., so patients must inform their healthcare provider of any other medications being taken. Nursing mothers should avoid this medication, as its components may pass into breast milk. Safety in pediatric patients has not been established, so caution is needed. In elderly patients, renal function decline and decreased plasma proteins may result in increased drug concentration, thus requiring careful dosage adjustment and monitoring.
