Additionally, gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, and gastric discomfort may arise. Facial flushing or shortness of breath may also infrequently occur, so care should be taken. Dryness of the nose may occur, and there may also be a possibility of elevated liver function test values. If allergic reactions such as skin rashes appear, usage must be stopped immediately. Patients with bronchial asthma should fully understand that this medication is not an immediate relief drug for asthma attacks. In cases of seasonal allergies, it is advisable to begin taking this medication ahead of when symptoms start and continue until symptoms resolve. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as it may enhance the drowsiness effect of the drug. Caution is also advised if taken with a medication called cimetidine. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should carefully weigh the benefits and risks of using this medication, and breastfeeding women should avoid use if possible or stop breastfeeding. For premature infants, newborns, infants, and children, safety has not been sufficiently established, so caution is necessary. Elderly patients may have reduced physical functions, so close attention to adjusting the dosage is required. This medication may have a bitter taste, so consider this when taking it.
