View approved original text

This medication is primarily used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It is also helpful for patients with heart failure who exhibit intolerance to ACE inhibitors. It is suitable for heart failure patients classified as NYHA class II to IV. Additionally, it is used to reduce the risk of mortality in stable patients with left ventricular dysfunction or impaired contractile function following a myocardial infarction. This medication helps alleviate patient symptoms and enhance survival rates through blood pressure control and improvement of cardiac function. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of essential hypertension, heart failure, and the reduction of mortality risk after myocardial infarction.
