Treatment of dermatophyte infections (tinea pedis, tinea corporis, etc.) and onychomycosis
This medication is used to treat dermatophyte infections such as tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris in adults, as well as onychomycosis. It is also effective for treating tinea capitis in children. It helps improve fungal infections that occur on the skin and nails.
As terbinafine, administer 1 dose of 125 mg, 2 times a day or 1 dose of 250 mg, once a day. Duration of treatment varies by condition as follows: 1) Dermatophyte infections Tinea pedis (interdigital type, plantar type/moccasin type): 2-6 weeks Tinea corporis: 2-4 weeks Tinea cruris: 2-4 weeks 2) Onychomycosis Typically administered for 6 weeks to 3 months. If the infection is in the toenails or smaller toes, or in younger patients, the treatment period may be shortened to less than 3 months. The treatment period for toenail infections is usually sufficient in 3 months, but some patients may take 6 months or longer. In patients with slow nail growth, the treatment period may be extended. 2. Children: Administer to children over the age of 2. There is insufficient experience administering to children under 2 years of age. Tinea capitis: 4 weeks Tinea capitis primarily appears in children. For prevention of recurrence, regular treatment for the appropriate prescribed period is necessary. 1) Children under 20 kg (under 5 years): 1 dose of 62.5 mg, 1 time daily. Due to lack of experience, dosage should be decided based on the consideration of the benefits and risks of treatment. 2) Children weighing 20-40 kg (5 to 12 years): 1 dose of 125 mg, 1 time daily. 3) Children over 40 kg (over 12 years): 1 dose of 250 mg, 1 time daily. 3. Patients with renal impairment Patients with a creatinine clearance of less than 50 mL per minute should reduce the daily dosage to half.

This medication is not recommended for patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. It is essential to confirm the presence of liver disease before administration, and regular liver function tests should be performed; if liver damage is suspected, discontinue use immediately. This medication should not be administered to patients with blood disorders or severe renal failure, infants under 2 years of age, nursing mothers, etc. In elderly patients, those with impaired renal function, and children weighing less than 20 kg, it should be administered with caution. If serious side effects such as skin rashes occur, use should be discontinued immediately. This medication may cause a variety of side effects, including hepatotoxicity, skin reactions, hematologic abnormalities, musculoskeletal pain, etc., so if any symptoms occur, contact your healthcare provider immediately. Patients should be cautious while driving or operating machinery as dizziness may occur. There may be interactions with other medications, so if you are taking other medications, you must inform your healthcare provider, especially if the drugs affect liver metabolism, as dosage adjustments may be necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication, and nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding while on this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms may include headache, nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness; appropriate medical treatment should be sought immediately. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight.

Rash, itching, photosensitivity reactions, acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis, erythema multiforme, toxic skin eruptions, exfoliative dermatitis, vesicular dermatitis, psoriatic eruptions, exacerbation of psoriasis, hair loss, musculoskeletal reactions (arthralgia, myalgia), muscle pain, weakness, hypotension, erythema, facial swelling, lymphadenopathy, gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal distension, decreased appetite, indigestion, nausea, mild abdominal pain, diarrhea), discomfort in the upper abdomen, thirst, vomiting, glossitis, depression,
