This medication helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke. Additionally, it lowers cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with hyperlipidemia and increases the levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol to help maintain healthy blood vessels. It can be used in combination with dietary measures for pediatric patients over 10 years old who have familial hypercholesterolemia. By effectively managing risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, it reduces the occurrence of serious complications such as heart attacks and strokes. Lipid levels must be closely monitored before starting treatment to ensure safe therapy. This medication is used to improve cardiovascular health and assist in cholesterol management.
