This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. Additionally, the tablets and syrup are effective in alleviating watery eyes. Patients are helped to choose an appropriate dosage form to improve their symptoms based on their condition.

How to take

Adult dose

Tablets: Take 1 tablet once, 3 times a day after meals. Capsules: Take 1 capsule once, 3 times a day after meals. Syrup: Take 10 mL once, 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Tablets (12-14 years): take 1/2 tablet once, 3 times a day after meals. Capsules (12-14 years): take 1/2 capsule once, 3 times a day after meals. Syrup (12 years and older): take 10 mL once, 1

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms of fever, red spots, and numerous small blisters appear on the skin, stop taking this medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken by individuals with certain conditions. For example, those allergic to this medication or with very poor liver and kidney function, severe heart disease, difficulty urinating, hypertension or cardiovascular disease, pregnant or nursing women, children under 2 years old, and those taking certain medications should not take this medication. Additionally, during the use of this medication, do not take it with blood pressure medications, alcohol, central nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills or sedatives, certain antidepressants, sympathomimetics, etc., and at least 15 days should elapse after taking an MAO inhibitor before starting this medication. Caution should be taken not to perform tasks requiring concentration such as driving a car or operating dangerous machinery while taking this medication. Those with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or prostatic hypertrophy must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days after taking the medication or if a high fever develops, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If symptoms of sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, visual problems, hallucinations, muscle spasms, high fever, or respiratory distress appear, stop taking the medication immediately and talk to a doctor. Additionally, if abnormal reactions such as skin rashes, itching, nausea, vomiting, or difficulty urinating occur, discontinue use. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia may appear, so caution is required, and gastric lavage or dialysis may be necessary. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a tightly sealed container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. Additionally, it should be stored in its original container to prevent deterioration or misuse.
