Facial flushing or shortness of breath may occur rarely, so caution is necessary. Dryness of the nose may also be experienced. It may affect liver function, possibly elevating liver enzyme levels, so liver health should be monitored. If allergic reactions such as rash occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor. Urinary symptoms such as difficulty urinating, hematuria, and frequent urination may occur, so report any unusual symptoms. There may also rarely be an increase in white blood cell count, which may require blood tests. Swelling or menstrual irregularities may also occur. If undergoing long-term steroid treatment, dosage adjustments under a doctor’s supervision should be made slowly when taking this medication. When asthma patients use this medication, it should be understood that it does not provide immediate relief of already manifested attacks, so proper usage must be understood. In cases of seasonal symptoms, it is recommended to start taking the medication before symptoms worsen and continue during the duration of symptoms. Avoid alcohol as it may exacerbate drowsiness, making it safer to refrain from drinking. There may be interactions when taking certain medications together, so consult a doctor. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of taking this medication. Nursing mothers should preferably avoid using this medication, and if it must be used, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Caution is needed for children, especially premature or newborn infants, as safety for their use has not been sufficiently established. Elderly patients may have reduced body functions, so care should be taken in dosage adjustments. This medication may have a bitter taste, so take note during administration.
