Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen in this medication may rarely cause severe skin reactions, so if a rash or hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen is 4,000 mg; taking this medication along with other drugs containing acetaminophen may lead to liver damage, so caution should be exercised not to exceed the recommended dosage. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to it, have had a history of asthma, are under three months old, or are taking or have recently stopped certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications. It is advisable not to take cough suppressants or expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, and antihistamines while using this medication. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic tendencies, those with past medication allergies, or those with liver, kidney, or heart diseases should consult a professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, difficulty urinating, dizziness, or anxiety occur after taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Especially if symptoms like hives, difficulty breathing, severe skin rash, jaundice, severe cough, and shortness of breath occur, seek immediate medical attention. Children under the age of 2 should not take this medication unless absolutely necessary and under a doctor's supervision. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and administration, avoid prolonged use, and supervise children when administering this medication. Avoid alcohol during treatment, and be cautious as drowsiness may occur; refrain from driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with certain drugs can affect the metabolism of acetaminophen, so inform your healthcare provider of any other medications you are taking. Finally, store this medication out of children's reach, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it in a cool, dry place, avoiding transfer to other containers.
