Child dose
Administer to children over 2 years of age. There is no experience in treating those under 2 years of age, so use is not recommended. Tinea capitis: 4 weeks 1) Body weight under 20 kg (under 5 years): 62.5 mg once per dose.

This medication is used for the treatment of dermatophyte infections such as tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea capitis caused by dermatophytes in adults. It is also effective for the treatment of tinea capitis in children.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 125 mg of terbinafine as a single dose, twice daily, or 250 mg once daily. The recommended duration of treatment is as follows: 1) Dermatophyte infections - Tinea pedis (interdigital type, plantar type/moccasin type): 2 to 6 weeks - Tinea corporis: 2 to 4 weeks - Tinea cruris: 2 to 4 weeks 2) Onychomycosis - Usually treated for 6 weeks to 3 months. Precautions

This medication is not recommended for patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. The presence of liver disease must be confirmed before administration, and liver function tests should be performed regularly. If symptoms of liver dysfunction appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a physician should be informed. Serious liver damage, such as hepatic failure, may rarely occur. This medication should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity or certain blood disorders, patients with severe renal failure, infants under 2 years of age, or nursing mothers. Patients with lactose intolerance should also avoid this medication. Caution should be exercised when administering to patients with reduced renal function, the elderly, and underweight children. Serious skin reactions may occur, so skin conditions should be carefully monitored, and the medication should be discontinued immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise. Regular checks of liver function, blood tests, and skin conditions should be performed during the use of this medication. Symptoms such as dizziness may arise when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. There may be interactions with other medications, so if you are taking any other medications, be sure to inform healthcare professionals. Use this medication with caution during pregnancy or in women who could become pregnant, and avoid use in nursing mothers. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as headache, nausea, and dizziness may occur, and you should seek medical help immediately. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and stored at room temperature.

Hepatobiliary system failure, hepatitis, cholestasis, jaundice, neutropenia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's syndrome), acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, erythema multiforme, toxic skin reactions, exfoliative dermatitis, bullous dermatitis, rhabdomyolysis, dyspnea, chest tightness, urticaria, anaphylactic reactions (including angioedema and systemic lupus erythematosus), nausea, appetite

Mild side effects

Rash, itching, fever, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, musculoskeletal responses (joint pain, muscle pain), weakness, hypotension, erythema, facial swelling, lymphadenopathy, abdominal bloating, dyspepsia, diarrhea, discomfort in the stomach, thirst, glossitis, depression, anxiety, headache, taste disturbance, dizziness, drowsiness, sensory abnormalities, reduced sensation, decreased attention, insomnia, elevated BUN, increased urination, visual disturbances, tinnitus, elevated total cholesterol levels.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Storage

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent air or moisture from entering. The storage temperature should be maintained at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees.
