This medication is used for the treatment of hypertension and stable angina, as well as myocardial ischemia due to coronary artery spasm. It also reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients without heart failure or with normal cardiac output. Additionally, it helps reduce risks that may arise during coronary artery revascularization. The oral dose for adults is 5 mg of amlodipine once daily, which can be increased to a maximum of 10 mg per day depending on the patient's response. Adjustment should be made according to age and symptoms.
The effective oral dose of amlodipine for hypertension in children is 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily. Doses exceeding 5 mg per day in pediatric patients have not been studied.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), angioedema, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweats, paleness, severe allergic reactions, severe rash with high fever, blistering, skin peeling, mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes, severe skin adverse reactions, asthma attacks, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme fatigue throughout the body, liver dysfunction (jaundice), sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache.
