Precautions

This medicine should be used with caution for those who regularly consume more than 3 glasses of alcohol daily, as it may cause liver damage; consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. The artificial sweetener aspartame contained in this medicine breaks down into phenylalanine in the body, so patients with the genetic disease phenylketonuria should not take it. This medicine contains acetaminophen, so it should not be taken with other medications that contain acetaminophen, as it may stress the liver. Those who have previously experienced allergic reactions such as rashes, itching, or swelling after taking this medicine or similar medications should not take it. Also, people who have experienced asthma symptoms from this medicine or other cold medications, antipyretics, or analgesics should refrain from taking it. Individuals with an allergy history, a previous allergic reaction to medications, children suspected of having chickenpox or flu, or those with liver, kidney, or thyroid diseases, heart conditions, elderly individuals, or those with glaucoma or urination difficulties should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should consult a professional before taking this medicine. This medicine should be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and should not be taken simultaneously with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, antihistamines, or sedatives. Children should only be given this medicine under the responsibility of a guardian; infants under 3 months old should avoid it, and children under 1 year old should not take it except in special cases. If symptoms such as rashes, vomiting, dizziness, or urination difficulties occur while taking this medicine, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medicine, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided. If symptoms do not improve, do not continue taking the medicine for an extended period without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Rarely, symptoms such as hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, or paleness, along with high fever, severe rash, blisters, peeling skin, or mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes may appear; if such symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and seek advice from a professional. Caution should be taken if this medicine is used with barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol, as it may slow down the breakdown of acetaminophen and put stress on the liver. This medicine should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight. Additionally, it should not be transferred to another container to prevent misuse.
