Effect of supplying fluids and nutrients through intravenous nutrition.
This medication is used to supplement fluids, electrolytes, amino acids, and calories for patients who are unable to obtain sufficient nutrition orally or via the gastrointestinal tract. It helps improve the nutritional status of patients and supports overall recovery.
Prior to administration, open the partition and mix solutions A and B. The maximum dosage for total amino acids should be 1 to 1.5 g per day per kg of body weight. The infusion rate should not exceed 2.1 mL/kg per hour (equivalent to 0.25 g/kg of glucose and 0.04 g/kg of amino acids). It is preferable to infuse over 12 to 24 hours via central or peripheral veins.
For children, the dosage and infusion rate must be appropriately adjusted.
This medication must be used strictly according to a physician's instructions and should not be used or discontinued arbitrarily. When used in conjunction with intravenous calcium-containing preparations, precipitates can occur when mixed with certain antibiotics, so they should not be administered simultaneously through the same infusion device. Patients who have allergies to any of the components in this drug or have specific blood and kidney diseases, as well as electrolyte imbalances should not use it. Patients with weakened kidney or liver function, heart disease, diabetes, etc., must be particularly cautious when using this drug, and close observation by medical professionals is required. During administration, blood glucose, electrolytes, liver and kidney function should be regularly monitored, and immediate action should be taken if any abnormalities are found. In cases of overdose, serious side effects such as hyperglycemia, acidosis, and fluid overload may occur, so the infusion rate and dosage must be strictly managed. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should be administered only in special cases as safety has not been established, and the dosage rate and amount should be adjusted for children and the elderly according to their bodily function. This medication should be administered slowly intravenously, and the solution must be checked for abnormalities prior to administration; it should be used promptly after opening. In addition, when mixing with other drugs, the compatibility must be verified, and mixing should be done rapidly in a sterile condition. This medication should be stored at room temperature and should not be used if the packaging is damaged or discolored.
