Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this medicine or its components. This medication can worsen symptoms in patients with orthostatic hypotension, so it should not be administered. Patients with severely impaired liver function may experience increased blood levels of this medication and should be careful when taking it. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not use this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function may also experience increased blood levels, so caution is advised during administration. Elderly patients may have a decreased kidney function, so they should start with a lower dose and be monitored for their condition. Patients taking antihypertensives, certain alpha-1 blockers, or PDE5 inhibitors should be careful due to a risk of excessive blood pressure drop from interactions with this medication. This medication can lower blood pressure, so exceeding the recommended dosage may cause symptoms of hypotension; therefore, the dosage should be strictly adhered to. Dizziness or fainting may occur while taking this medication, so be especially cautious when changing positions, particularly when standing, and avoid dangerous tasks or driving. If symptoms such as skin rash, itching, or hives appear due to an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as indigestion, nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea may occur; if symptoms are severe, inform a doctor. Periodic checks of liver function are important, as abnormalities or jaundice may occur, and if any irregularities are found, the medication should be discontinued. There is a rare risk of prolonged erections; if this condition persists, it may lead to permanent erectile dysfunction, so seek medical attention immediately. This medication is not indicated for children or women, and its safety and efficacy have not been established for these populations. When taking, swallow the whole tablet without chewing or opening the capsule to maintain the drug's effectiveness. Store out of reach of children and do not transfer to a different container for safety. It is important to evaluate the presence of prostate cancer before taking this medication; if treatment is not effective, other treatment methods such as surgery should be considered.
