Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with known allergies to its specific components. Patients who have previously shown hypersensitivity to clarithromycin or similar classes of antibiotics should also not receive this medication. Patients with a history of QT interval prolongation or cardiac arrhythmias should use this medication cautiously due to the risk of worsening cardiac conditions. Those with severe liver or kidney impairment require careful evaluation before administration due to potential issues with drug metabolism and excretion. It is safer for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid this medication. There may be an increased risk of side effects when used in combination with certain other medications, so consultation with healthcare providers is essential. During treatment, symptoms such as allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, hearing impairments, and skin rashes may occur, so healthcare providers should be notified immediately of any such symptoms. Long-term or excessive doses may lead to serious side effects such as liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, and muscle damage, thus requiring regular monitoring. To prevent the emergence of antibiotic-resistant strains, it is important to adhere to the dosage and duration recommended by the physician. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery due to the potential for dizziness or confusion. Particularly in elderly patients or those with weakened immune systems, side effects may be more pronounced, requiring heightened vigilance.
