This medication is effective against various bacteria such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli. It is used for respiratory infections such as otitis media, pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and bronchitis, as well as for pyelonephritis, cystitis, and gonococcal urethritis. Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have experienced severe allergic reactions or shock due to this medication or cephalosporin antibiotics in the past. Patients with penicillin allergy or family history, as well as those with bronchial asthma or skin allergy symptoms, should use it with caution. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, elderly patients, those who have difficulty taking it orally, or patients with gastrointestinal diseases should be closely monitored while taking this medication. Rarely, severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, blood abnormalities, liver or kidney dysfunction, gastrointestinal disturbances may occur, so if any unusual symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. To prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria, this medication should only be used for the minimum required duration after confirming the susceptibility of the infection-causing bacteria. When used in combination with other medications, it may affect kidney function, so particularly careful monitoring is required for patients with kidney issues. Using this medication together with anticoagulants may increase the risk of bleeding, so regular checks of blood coagulation status should be performed. The contraceptive effect may be reduced when taken with oral contraceptives, so it is recommended to use additional contraceptive methods. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication after carefully weighing the benefits and risks, and nursing women should also use it with caution. It should be used carefully in newborns or very young children as safety has not been established. Elderly patients may experience side effects more easily due to decreased bodily functions, so their condition should be closely monitored during use. This medication may affect urine tests or blood test results, so it is important to inform medical personnel about its use during tests.
