Improvement of epithelial damage to the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous diseases)
This drug is used to treat epithelial damage to the conjunctiva caused by both endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous causes such as surgery, drug side effects, trauma, and contact lens wear.
1 drop of 0.1% or 0.3% formulation is instilled 5-6 times a day. Adjust appropriately according to symptoms. Usually, the 0.1% formulation is administered, and if it is insufficiently effective in severe diseases, the 0.3% formulation is used.
This drug should not be used in patients with allergies to protein-based drugs or the components of this drug. Symptoms such as itching in the eyes, irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, and corneal disturbances may occur, and rarely, discharge or pain in the eyes may happen. If these symptoms occur, use should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Additionally, inflammation of the eyelids or surrounding skin may also occur, in which case use should be stopped. When used with other eye drops, adverse reactions may occur more frequently, so if other eye drops are to be used, this drug should be administered with an interval of about 30 minutes. This drug is for topical use only; care should be taken not to allow the tip of the container to come into contact with the eyelids or eyelashes. If the container is contaminated, the drug may deteriorate; therefore, it is advisable not to use contaminated drugs. Since the preservatives contained may adsorb to soft contact lenses, do not use while wearing the lenses and put the lenses on at least 15 minutes after administration. For single-use products, use immediately after opening, and discard any remaining drug; it is safe to discard the first 1-2 drops. Keep out of reach of children, store in a cool place and avoid direct sunlight. Also, to maintain quality, it is important not to transfer to other containers.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
For multi-use containers, store in a tightly sealed container to prevent air from entering and keep at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. For single-use containers, store in a sealed container, similarly keeping at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
