This medication is effective against a variety of bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is mainly used for respiratory infectious diseases, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also effective for urinary tract infections, including cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. It is used for treating pelvic infections and gonorrhea, as well as skin and soft tissue infections such as boils, abscesses, and wound infections. This medication is also suitable for the treatment of osteomyelitis and dental infections. It is widely used for the treatment of various infectious diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients with allergies to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs. This medication may affect the results of blood tests, so regular testing is necessary, and kidney and liver function as well as blood condition should be periodically reviewed during prolonged use. Pregnant women in the early stages or nursing mothers should use this medication with caution, especially avoiding use during the first trimester of pregnancy. This medication is only recommended for children aged 12 years and older or those weighing 40 kg or more, and the elderly should be cautious due to a higher risk of side effects from reduced body function. There may be interactions with other medications, so especially when taking anticoagulants, probenecid, or allopurinol, consultation with a physician is necessary. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, renal failure, and seizures might occur, and in such cases, immediate medical attention should be sought. Diarrhea, pseudomembranous colitis, dyspepsia, stomatitis, gastritis, glossitis, black hairy tongue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, constipation, colonic pain, acid reflux, soft stools, dry mouth, acute pancreatitis, candidiasis, colitis, bloody stools, itching, erythema multiforme, mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell syndrome), vesicular exfoliative dermatitis, acute generalized exanthematic pustulosis, eosinophilia, systemic symptoms, vascular manifestations
