A cough that produces phlegm and bronchitis, bronchial asthma fall under respiratory diseases. This medication helps alleviate these symptoms and makes breathing easier. Therefore, it is mainly used for respiratory diseases characterized by excessive phlegm and persistent cough.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults, take 1 packet 3 times a day before meals or between meals.

Precautions

This medicine contains lactose and should not be used by patients with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion. Patients with high blood pressure, elderly individuals, patients with heart or kidney issues, and those with edema must consult a professional before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as those who are breastfeeding, should consult a professional before taking this medication due to uncertain safety. Caution is needed for children as safety has not been sufficiently established. If symptoms of reduced urine output, swelling of the face or limbs, increased blood pressure, or headaches occur during use, immediately stop taking it and consult a professional. Muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis may also occur; if these symptoms appear, stop taking it and inform a medical professional. Rarely, pulmonary-related symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing may occur, so if these symptoms appear, appropriate testing and treatment should be sought immediately. If symptoms of liver dysfunction, skin rashes, hives, loss of appetite, or stomach discomfort occur, discontinue use and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve and there is no effect after more than one month of use, consult a medical professional, and if there is excessive phlegm, consult if symptoms do not improve after taking it for about one week. Taking this medication with potassium-containing drugs or certain diuretics may lead to myopathy or hypokalemia; caution is advised. When taking it with other herbal medicines, be cautious of ingredient duplication, and strictly adhere to the prescribed method and dosage. Long-term use should be avoided in principle; if necessary, consult a professional before long-term use. During storage, avoid direct sunlight and keep in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Additionally, taking the medication out of its original container and storing it in another container may pose risks of misuse or quality degradation; therefore, it must be kept sealed in its original container.

Hives, severe swelling (swelling of the face and limbs, swollen eyelids), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, breathlessness, asthma attacks, liver dysfunction (including jaundice), interstitial lung disease, severe allergic reactions, hyperaldosteronism due to hypokalemia, myopathy due to hypokalemia (muscle disease), severe neurological symptoms (headaches, seizures, confusion)
