This medication helps alleviate symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing associated with colds or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It also temporarily relieves nasal congestion caused by sinusitis. In other words, it is effectively used for improving symptoms of rhinitis and sinusitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Children aged 12 years and older and adults take 10 ml every 4 hours, not exceeding 60 ml in 24 hours. Follow the physician's instructions.

Child dose

Children aged 6 years to less than 12 years take 5 ml every 4 hours, not exceeding 30 ml in 24 hours. For children aged 2 years to less than 6 years, follow the physician's instructions.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by individuals who are allergic or sensitive to specific ingredients. In particular, patients who are hypersensitive to sympathomimetic amines, antihistamines, etc., should avoid this medication. Women who are nursing and patients with severe hypertension or coronary artery disease should also refrain from using it. Additionally, it may pose risks to patients with glaucoma, difficulty urinating, asthma, or chronic lung diseases. Patients taking sedatives or tranquilizers also require caution. Those with chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostate enlargement, who experience difficulty in urination, should not take this medication without a doctor's instruction. Side effects such as anxiety, tremors, fatigue, shortness of breath, insomnia, hallucinations, and convulsions may occur. Especially, individuals sensitive to phenylephrine may experience increased heart rate and symptoms like headaches, dizziness, and nausea. In cases of allergy to antihistamines, side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, loss of appetite, vomiting, and dermatitis may occur. This medication can cause drowsiness; hence, taking it with alcohol or sedatives may enhance drowsiness. Children may occasionally become excited after taking this medication, so caution is necessary. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if there is a high fever, consult a doctor immediately. Avoid alcohol consumption and driving or operating hazardous machinery while taking this medication. Be careful not to exceed the prescribed dosage, and consult a doctor immediately in case of overdose. If dizziness, insomnia, or nervousness occurs after taking this medication, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It should be stored in its original container to prevent deterioration or misusage.
