Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to certain components or sulfonamide drugs. Patients with very slow heart rates or problems with heart conduction, severe cardiac shock, or significantly low blood pressure should also avoid taking this medication. Patients with metabolic acidosis, severe peripheral blood circulation disorders, dysautonomia syndrome, intractable heart failure, significantly reduced kidney function, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also avoid using this medication. Additionally, since this medication contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic abnormalities. Heart failure patients should only take this medication cautiously when their symptoms are well controlled, and if they have asthma or obstructive airway diseases, they should consult a physician before taking it. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function, those with electrolyte imbalances, and patients allergic to yellow dyes need special caution. During the use of this medication, potassium levels in the blood may decrease, potentially affecting the heart, so regular blood tests and physician monitoring are necessary. Moreover, if symptoms of significantly low blood pressure or excessively slow heart rate occur, the dosage must be adjusted. This medication may mask symptoms of hyperthyroidism; therefore, patients with thyroid disorders should be cautious. If the medication is abruptly discontinued, cardiac conditions may worsen, so it should be tapered off according to a physician’s directive. Patients with severe allergic reactions may experience more severe responses from this medication; hence they should be cautious, and if hypersensitivity reactions occur, the medication should be stopped immediately. If unusual symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, confusion, headache, indigestion, skin rash, visual disturbances, or bronchospasms occur during use, consult a physician immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs, so strict adherence to a physician's instructions is required, especially when taken with antiarrhythmics, anesthetics, lithium, calcium channel blockers, or antidiabetic drugs. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication as it may pose risks to the fetus or infant, and in unavoidable cases, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Safety for children has not been established, so it is advisable to avoid use in this population. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as decreased heart rate, low blood pressure, acute heart failure, or bronchospasms may occur, necessitating immediate medical treatment. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and kept in its original packaging.
