For recurrent tonsillitis and similar upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and mild to moderate skin and soft tissue infections, amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium is usually administered as 25 mg/3.6 mg per kg of body weight divided into two doses per day. For severe infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory infections like bronchopneumonia, and urinary tract infections, amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium is usually administered as 45 mg/6.4 mg per kg of body weight divided into two doses per day.
Child dose
The 7:1 syrup is not suitable for infants under 2 months, and is also not suitable for pediatric patients with kidney failure.

This medication is effective for various infections caused by multiple bacteria. It is used for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess, as well as for tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also useful for treating urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, and is effective for pelvic infections and gonorrhea. Additionally, it is used to treat skin and soft tissue infections such as abscesses, boils, and wound infections. It can be applied to osteomyelitis and dental infections, helping to manage a variety of bacterial infections. It is used for the treatment of these various infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body, so it should not be used in patients with the genetic disease phenylketonuria. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication's components or beta-lactam antibiotics, patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, and patients who have previously experienced liver dysfunction or jaundice due to this medication or penicillin. Since this medication also contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not use it. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, allergic individuals, the elderly, and patients with gastrointestinal diseases should exercise caution when using this medication and should adjust the dosing interval as needed. Taking this medication may lead to various side effects such as digestive symptoms including diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, liver dysfunction, skin rashes, and allergic reactions. If symptoms are severe, consult a doctor immediately. Severe allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock can rarely occur, so the condition of the patient should be closely monitored after administration. To prevent the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, use only for the necessary period, and if used for a prolonged period, kidneys and liver function should be regularly assessed. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are taking other medications, be sure to inform your doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication cautiously, and it is advisable to avoid administration during the first trimester of pregnancy.
