This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing associated with cold or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It also aids in the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to sinusitis. Thus, it is effective in improving various uncomfortable symptoms related to the nose.

How to take

Adult dose

Children aged 12 years and over and adults should take 10ml every 4 hours. Do not exceed 60ml in 24 hours. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Child dose

Children aged 6 to under 12 years should take 5ml every 4 hours. Do not exceed 30ml in 24 hours. For children aged 2 to under 6 years, follow your doctor's instructions.

Precautions

This medication contains sympathomimetic amines and antihistamines, so patients allergic to these ingredients should not take it. Individuals with specific sensitivities or nursing women should also avoid this medication. Patients with severe hypertension or coronary artery disease, and those taking MAO inhibitors should avoid this medication. Patients with conditions such as glaucoma, urinary retention, peptic ulcers, asthma, chronic respiratory diseases, and shortness of breath are advised not to take this medication. Patients taking sedatives or tranquilizers should exercise caution when taking this medication together. Those with certain conditions such as chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid disorders, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostate enlargement should refrain from taking this medication without a doctor's guidance. This medication may affect the sympathetic nervous system causing side effects such as fear, anxiety, tremors, weakness, shortness of breath, urinary difficulties, insomnia, hallucinations, seizures, arrhythmia, dizziness, and hypotension. People sensitive to phenylephrine may experience increased heart rate, headaches, dizziness, and nausea; however, it is safe at appropriate doses. If allergic to antihistamines, symptoms such as drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, decreased appetite, nausea, headaches, and skin rashes may occur. This medication can cause drowsiness, so caution is advised when consuming alcohol or tranquilizers, as it may enhance drowsiness. In children, occasional excitatory reactions may occur, so monitoring is needed during use. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if fever occurs, consult a doctor. Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication and avoid activities requiring concentration, such as driving or operating machinery. Ensure not to exceed the prescribed dosage and consult a doctor immediately in case of overdose. If symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, or irritability occur, discontinue use and inform a doctor. Store this medication out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Medicines should be kept in their original container; transferring to another container may cause quality degradation or accidents.
