In the case of upper respiratory infections like otitis media and sinusitis, lower respiratory infections such as bronchopneumonia, and severe urinary tract infections, amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium is typically administered at a dosage of 45 mg/6.4 mg per kg of body weight per day.
Child dose
The 7:1 syrup is not suitable for children under 2 months and is also not suitable for pediatric patients with renal impairment.

This medication is used to treat infections caused by various bacteria. It is effective for respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis and pneumonia, as well as tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also used to treat urinary tract infections like cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, as well as pelvic infections and gonorrhea. It treats skin and soft tissue infections, such as furuncle, abscess, cellulitis, and wound infections, and is also used for osteomyelitis and dental infections. This medication helps improve recovery for patients suffering from diverse bacterial infections.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to certain patients. Long-term use should consider the risk of resistant bacteria and overgrowth of non-sensitive bacteria, recommending treatment for the minimum duration necessary, with regular checks of liver and kidney function. This medication may interact with other drugs, so patients currently taking any medications should inform their doctor or pharmacist. The use of this medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be carefully considered, especially avoiding use during the first three months of pregnancy is recommended. The safety of this medication has not been established in children, especially in newborns under 2 months or premature infants.
