This medication is used for the treatment of Herpes Simplex Virus infections, specifically for initial and recurrent genital herpes and cold sores.

How to apply

Adult use

Apply this medication to the affected area five times a day at approximately 4-hour intervals. Treatment should continue for 5 days, and if not healed after 5 days of use, it can be used for an additional 5 days.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by certain patients. Individuals who have allergies or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions to this drug or its components should not use this medication. Additionally, it is safe not to administer this medication to breastfeeding women and children. Caution is advised for patients with weakened immune systems, such as those with AIDS or bone marrow transplant patients.
