Patients with diabetes should monitor their blood sugar levels frequently, as this medication can increase blood sugar, and it is effective to use it in conjunction with anti-inflammatory medications for asthma treatment. If symptoms do not improve or if an increase in dosage is needed, this may indicate that the asthma condition has worsened, and the treatment plan should be reviewed. This medication can interact with other drugs; therefore, especially when taken with muscle relaxants, non-selective beta-blockers, diuretics, corticosteroids, diabetes medications, or digitalis preparations, consultation with a doctor is necessary. Caution should also be taken when using anesthetics. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid using this medication; if it must be used, consulting with a doctor is recommended, and it is safer to discontinue breastfeeding.
